Maple Leafs goalie Garret Sparks somehow managed to top his historic outing between the pipes with his performance on Twitter.Called up from the American Hockey League to make his NHL debut Monday against the lowly Oilers, the 22-year-old rookie saved 24 shots in a shutout to lead the Leafs to a 3-0 victory. He became the first Leafs goalie ever to record a shutout in his NHL debut, and the 25th in league history.Impressive stuff, to be sure. Afterward, the multi-talented netminder also revealed a top-notch Twitter game.
Good sense of humour from the youngster, considering probably only a handful of fantasy owners outside of DFS leagues started him last night and reaped the rewards of his strong performance. While he's been a hot add after his big game, a search on his player page reveals he's owned in zero percent of ESPN leagues.Sparks was named the AHL's goalie of the month for November this afternoon. Not a bad 24 hours. That was for everyone who started me on their fantasy team tonight Garret Sparks (@GSparks40) December 1, 2015
