​​Three Essendon Players And A VFL Star Had Their Cars Stolen At The Same Time

The players were asleep at the time of the robbery and were left unharmed though are reportedly shaken from the event.

A gang of four men, some armed with baseball bats, did over the Maribyrnong (Melbourne) home of three Essendon football players and a VFL star making off with all their cars and wallets.

The players were asleep at the time of the robbery and were left unharmed though are reportedly shaken from the event. They are AFL listed players, Shaun Mcknernan, Jayden Laverde, and Connor McKenna, as well as Victorian Football League (VFL) defender, James Ferry.

Witnesses nearby were woken by a loud crash as one of the thieves blew it and poleaxed the stolen Volkswagen. He was quickly scooped up by another of the thieves of the stolen vehicles.

The Age reports that police investigators were told the thieves were of African descent. The Volkswagen was retrieved but the remaining Mazda and two Holden Commodores remain missing.
