Legendary former Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt was diagnosed with early-onset dementia in August of 2011 at the age of 59, and today, a spokesperson for her foundation made a statement saying that she is currently undergoing a "difficult time," and asked for privacy for the family.

Here's the statement in full:

"On behalf of Pat Summitt's family, we acknowledge the past few days have been difficult for Pat as her early onset dementia, 'Alzheimer's Type,' progresses. She is surrounded by those who mean the most to her and during this time, we ask for prayers for Pat and her family and friends, as well as your utmost respect and privacy. Thank you."

Prior to the statement, the Knoxville Sentinel reported that a source close to the family said that her loved ones were "preparing for the worst," adding "I don't think anybody knows whether she will last a day, a month, or a year."

Can't find the words right now, only thing I can say is #PrayForPat!
