More terrorism threats, more botched moments of silence, and Euro qualifications all wrapped up.

Good morning, America. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop by daily for your morning headlines.

It's the 18th of November, 2015, and Sepp Blatter is still, technically, president of FIFA.

As has become a morbid routine these past few days, the big news of the day is a terrorist threat at a sporting event. Approximately two hours before a friendly match between Germany and Holland kicked off in Hannover, authorities evacuated the stadium and called off the match. The investigation and cautionary measures spread across Hannover, to trains, stations, and the multi-purpose arena which was to hold a concert. There are a lot of conflicting reports about the actual details of the threat, but authorities seemed to be acting on intelligence. While all this was going on in Hannover, France and Germany played a friendly at Wembley that can, apparently, only be described as "emotional." Elsewhere, more fans fucked up a moment of silence for the Paris attacks, this time in Istanbul.

Given yesterday's events, many are now wondering if this weekend's fixtures across Europe will be affected by security concerns. Despite earlier reports, Ligue 1 games in France will take place this weekend, although without away fans. German officials insist this weekend's Bundesliga matches will continue as scheduled, as will all La Liga matches, according to Spanish police, particularly with El Clásico set for this weekend. "We must not fall into psychosis," a police spokesperson told MARCA.

Jonah Lomu, one of the biggest Rugby stars in the world who played 63 times for New Zealand, died today. He was forced to retire in 2002 due to a kidney condition. He was 40.

Actual sports news that doesn't involve death and sadness: the Euro qualifications are over! Sweden qualified on Zlatan's back (of course) and Ukraine topped Slovenia on aggregate to book the final ticket. The group draw will take place in Paris on December 12.

Today's curling photo comes from the 2014 European championships in Switzerland. This is a sport of tremendous pants.
