Billy Hamilton Steals Third on Catcher's Throw Back to Pitcher

Super fast human Billy Hamilton caught the Marlins defense napping and stole third base on a throw back to the pitcher.

Billy Hamilton is a pretty fast dude and that speed helped him "manufacture" a run in the third inning. He led off the inning with a line-drive single to center field and with one out and Joey Votto at the plate, he stole second base. Then, with Votto still at bat, Hamilton stole third and didn't even draw a throw.

It looks like he deked catcher J.T. Realmuto after Adam Conley's 2-0 pitch, and put his head down as if he was returning to second base, but as soon as Realmuto threw it back to the mound, Hamilton was off. The closest defender to the bag was shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria and he never once reacted to Hamilton, even after he took off for third. By the time Conley realized what was going on, it was too late.

Votto walked and then Scott Frazier drove Hamilton in with a sacrifice fly to left field. Unfortunately, if the Reds were manufacturing runs last night, Miami had the assembly line running and won 14-3.
