Your 2015 Hall of Fame Class

The 2015 Hall of Fame class is predictable in who it let in, and who it left out, because the Hall of Fame is terrible.

The 2015 Hall Of Fame class has been announced and, for the most part, we had a pretty good idea who was going to make it in, with the only question being Mike Piazza. As it turns out, this was entirely predictable. Those we knew would be let in, got in, and those we knew wouldn't, did not. 549 voters inducted four candidates for the first time since 1955 and they are as follows:

  • Craig Biggio
  • John Smoltz
  • Pedro Martinez
  • Randy Johnson

It should be noted that among the first words spoken after the announcement on MLB Network, by Jon Heyman, were "the outrage will be muted," almost as if the outrage was expected for some reason.

And here are four other players, on the ballot, but not inducted:

  • Barry Bonds
  • Mark McGwire
  • Roger Clemens
  • Mike Piazza

If anyone would like to offer an argument why these four are less deserving, that doesn't involve the word "taint," we are all ears. In fact, here's a picture of three people who all deserve to be first-ballot Hall of Famers.
