Disgruntled Arsenal Fan Has Wenger Tattooed On To His Skin For All Eternity

You can watch the video and dismiss this man as an idiot, or you can just dismiss him as an idiot without watching to save time.

Sometimes, in our seemingly disordered cosmos, something happens that is so perfect we can't help but suspect divine agency is at work. Events may appear to happen at random, existence may seem arbitrary, but there are occasions when it feels as if the human mind has briefly comprehended a universal master plan.

This is one of those occasions. The universe has cried out for justice and, consequently, justice has been served.

Meet DT, the man behind the "Arsene, Thanks For The Memories" banner that was unfurled after Arsenal's 4-0 win over Hull early last month. DT publicly called for Arsene Wenger to leave the club he's managed with distinction for almost 20 years, using little more than an old bedsheet. Still, don't get too hung up on the shabby indignity of his protest. DT isn't any old bedsheet vigilante – he's a visionary, the radical new face of Arsenal's social media generation.

Off the back of the inevitable publicity the banner generated, DT decided to launch his own YouTube channel. Because he is too good for Arsenal Fan TV. His voice is too important to be drowned out by the incomprehensible shouting of his fellow social media celebrities. He clearly has aspirations beyond their wildest dreams – aspirations of one day having several hundred YouTube views a day, at the very least.

Visionary as it may be, it was his attempt to harness the power of fan protest for 15 minutes of online fame that provoked the universe's wrath. In a perfectly ironic twist of fate, DT's newfound Twitter popularity ensured that this ill-advised wager ahead of England's friendly against Germany didn't go unnoticed.

If Vardy scores I'll get Arsene Wenger tattooed on me

Of course, Jamie Vardy did score and, accordingly, DT has ended up getting a tattoo of Arsene Wenger on his leg. Having called on Wenger to bid farewell to Arsenal, he'll now be greeted by the manager's face every time he looks down at his own calf. The tattoo depicts Wenger with his bags packed, permanently etched in a state of non-departure. Despite his efforts, DT will now never be rid of his managerial nemesis.

As such, there's no need to thank Arsene for the memories. It's impossible to forget his achievements when he's tattooed on to your skin for all eternity.

The universe is merciless. We take no pleasure in it, but justice is done.
