Seahawks Score at End of Half to Tie Game

The Patriots and Seahawks swapped touchdowns in a wild last 30 seconds of play in the first half of the Super Bowl.

The Patriots took a 14-7 lead with 31 seconds left in the first half of the Super Bowl and it looked like the Seahawks at best had enough time to get into field goal range, take the points, and get the ball back to start the second half. That's not how it went down, however, because you read the headline. Seattle marched down the field—80 yards in five plays—in 20 seconds. When they got to the 11 yard line with six seconds left, it looked like they might settle for the field goal. Nah. They called timeout and dialed up a quick play that took only four seconds off the clock, and tied it at 14-14 with a strike to Chris Matthews.

Let's check the reaction shots, shall we? Pete Carroll is feisty and riled up.

What say you, Bill Belichick?

Here's the Pats score, which was a nice deep ball to Gronk, who was being covered, in the most generous sense of the word, by a linebacker.
