This Hockey Goal Will Make You Believe in God

This might be the sickest goal you'll ever see in your entire life. Think about whether or not that's something you want to miss.

This absurd goal in the KHL All-Star skills contest by Nikita Gusev is how you win converts. Gusev and goaltender Stanislav Galimov posed for a friendly photo prior to the absurdity, then went to their respective spots on the ice. Gusev took the puck from center-ice and skated all casual up to the net before spinning into an absurd, through-the-legs, lacrosse-style goal, bringing his front leg around in a round-house kick just in front of the crease as the puck flew effortlessly above Galimov's blocker and into the net.

This being the KHL, the fans at the skill contest were only moderately impressed, clapping politely and banging their inflatable thundersticks together with gentle aplomb as if they had seen such feats many times before. But if goals like this aren't an argument for hockey, you have to wonder what is.

Meanwhile, at the NHL All-Star Game in Columbus this weekend, Team Toews beat Team Foligno 17-12.
