Josh Robinson Broke Approximately 75 Tackles, And Other Feats Of Strength

Josh Robinson ran over the entire Kentucky defense before running out of gas and finally allowed the Wildcats to tackle him.

Josh Robinson was feeling generous this evening so he gave every member of the Kentucky defense a chance to tackle him. We didn't keep actual count, so 75 is an educated guess, but it is safe to say any Wildcat who had a chance to tackle Robinson pretty much failed. Robinson had already broken a few tackles before he got the first down yardage and then the Wildcats defense converged on him. He somehow got away from them again and just kept going, reversed course, broke some more tackles, and picked up an extra 13 yards or so before he ran out of gas and finally relented.

The run set up Miss St. for a touchdown to take a 31-17 lead, but Kentucky immediately responded on a dart of throw from Patrick Towles to Javess Blue for a 58-yard touchdown. Mississippi State took a 31-24 lead into the fourth quarter.

And wouldn't you know it? Josh Robinson went ahead and did it again. This time he ran right through the Kentucky defensive line, shrugging off some more tackles just because, and ran for a 73-yard touchdown, with an unbelievable cut at the tail end. Damn. Mississippi State now leads 38-24.
