Police Release Video of FSU's De'Andre Johnson Punching Woman in Face

The Florida State Attorney's office has released video of FSU freshman quarterback De'Andre Johnson punching a woman in the face.

Video of Florida State freshman quarterback De'Andre Johnson punching a woman in the face in a Florida nightclub last month has emerged online. The State Attorney's office released surveillance video from a West Tennessee St. bar called Yiannis where on June 24th Johnson ended a conflict with a woman with a punch to the face. You can see the punch below, it is obviously graphic.

The woman felt Johnson was too aggressive in pushing past her, so she confronted him with her right arm raised in a fist. The two began pushing and shoving each other, and while Johnson had both her arms gripped, the woman tried to punch Johnson in the shoulder. He responded by winding up and punching her in the face. According to court documents, she suffered bruising and swelling to her face, and cuts to her nose. Hardly anyone reacted to the scene, and Johnson left after hitting her.

Johnson turned himself in to police last week after a warrant had been issued for his arrest and State Attorney Willie Meggs has charged him with misdemeanor battery.

Update: FSU has officially dismissed Johnson from the team.
