Kanye West Leaves Stage Early During Pan Am Closing Ceremony

Kanye West's mic cut out during the Pan Am Closing Ceremony last night and after trying to make it work, he rifled his mic into the air and left the stage.

Kanye West's performance at the Pan American Games' Closing Ceremony last night was cut short after his mic malfunctioned during his medley performance. After the malfunction, Kanye threw the mic up in the air and exited the stage. The CBC Olympic twitter account claimed technical issues cut the sound out in the stadium, but the audio was still heard on the broadcast. Kanye had been performing less than 15 minutes when the trouble started.

Despite the technical difficulties, the media were quick to pounce on Kanye or, as one outfit called him, Mr. Kardashian.

The self-proclaimed "greatest living rock star" Kanye West threw his toys out the pram, or, in this case, his mic off the stage half way through a concert, cutting his headline set at Toronto's Pan Am Games short.

Jeez,The Independent, you try singing in front of 40,000 Canadians in the Rogers Centre and having your mic cut out. Even after it cut out, he was still out there trying to make it work, even though it's pretty weird to see a dude walk around talking into a mic in total silence on a stage. Eventually Kanye gave up and Swiftly tossed the mic into the air.

All things considered, that's a pretty tame mic drop.
