Kanye West's performance at the Pan American Games' Closing Ceremony last night was cut short after his mic malfunctioned during his medley performance. After the malfunction, Kanye threw the mic up in the air and exited the stage. The CBC Olympic twitter account claimed technical issues cut the sound out in the stadium, but the audio was still heard on the broadcast. Kanye had been performing less than 15 minutes when the trouble started.Despite the technical difficulties, the media were quick to pounce on Kanye or, as one outfit called him, Mr. Kardashian.

Even after it cut out, he was still out there trying to make it work, even though it's pretty weird to see a dude walk around talking into a mic in total silence on a stage.
