Good morning, America. Thanks for stopping by for this very special New Year's Eve edition of the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop by daily for your morning headlines.

Arsenal will most definitely not win the Premier League. I say this with the utmost confidence now that the team has been jinxed by the Islington Council, which is the local governing body in Arsenal's neighborhood. Yesterday, the Council tweeted out the date of Arsenal's Premier League victory parade: May 22. The laws of jinxing are clear, and this is a clear violation. Arsenal will now come in 4th (or maybe 2nd).

Swiss authorities handed over bank documents to the American investigators looking into FIFA corruption. This is bad news for Blatter and company.

One of the FIFA officials arrested by Swiss authorities, former Vice President Eugenio Figueredo, has successfully avoided extradition to the U.S. From Reuters: "Figueredo's attorneys successfully argued to Swiss justice officials that an earlier 2013 Uruguayan case pending against him should take precedence over the U.S. case."

The Guardian looks back on what it's calling the best ever year in Women's soccer.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool beat Sam Allardyce's Sunderland last night, 1-0. After the match, Big Sam called Klopp a "soft German," which is hilarious.

In a far more entertaining game, Barcelona beat Real Betis 4-0. The game included the following goal, which, if you're like me, you're going to want to watch on repeat until it's 2017.

Here's a very cool picture from the 89th Spengler Cup, which takes place in Davos, Switzerland. HC Lugano, of Switzerland, played Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, of Russia, with Lugano winning 3-0.
