City and Real Madrid have qualified for the knockout rounds.

Karim Benzema did not suit up for Real Madrid. Early this morning, he was arrested by police in Versailles. The French striker is being held in connection to a sex tape blackmail case—the same one Djibril Cissé was questioned over earlier this year. The police have cleared Cissé of suspicion.Manchester United beat CSKA 1-0. After the match, Louis van Gaal referred to defender Chris Smalling "Michael Smalling." Van Gaal has been Chris Smalling's coach for more than a year. This is not the first time he's called Chris "Mike."
Tonight's Champions League fare is tasty: In group F, Bayern Munich hosts Arsenal, who already beat Bayern once this season. Arsene Wenger looks excited.Formula 1 test pilot Susie Wolff, one of only a handful of women in professional motorsports, has announced her retirement. At 32, she felt her goal of racing in the Formula 1 grand prix was no longer realistic. ""It was a decision I made at the end of the summer," she told the BBC. "There was very little opportunity to carry on in Formula 1."Los Angeles Galaxy's midfielder Steven Gerrard might play for Liverpool after all. Gerrard apparently didn't know what he was getting into when he signed for the Galaxy:"Going on the road, playing on [artificial] turf, playing at altitude, playing in humidity, those are the hurdles that I've had to face over the last three months that I wasn't aware of," he said. "Every away game has a different challenge."Monaco reportedly made a 35 million pound offer to buy Jose Mourinho from Chelsea. Chelsea has apparently declined the offer.
