The man seemed sick of his antics.

In the wake of Fort Worth police reports released yesterday in which, among other things, Johnny Manziel allegedly threatened to kill himself and his ex-girlfriend, Manziel's agent Erik Burkhardt issued a statement terminating his professional relationship with the Cleveland Browns quarterback, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

"Accountability is the foundation of any relationship, and without it, the function of my work is counterproductive," Burkhardt writes, sounding like someone who is simply sick of dealing with all of Manziel's B.S.—this isn't exactly the first, or second, troubling incident for his client. Earlier he notes that it "has become painfully obvious that his future rests solely in his own hands."

Manziel is expected to be let go by the Browns at the start of the season, and will need to process a great deal of paperwork to solidify his free agency. At this point, looking for someone to represent him might be tough.

UPDATE:

And to add even more gravity to the situation, Manziel's father Paul told Dallas Morning News that Manziel refused to enter rehab twice in the past week, saying, "I truly believe if they can't get him help, he won't live to see his 24th birthday." I'm not sure what Paul's medical credentials are, but the man is clearly, rightfully concerned after having told the police that he thought that Manziel was suicidal. It has been a truly grim day for Manziel and his family.
