Pittsburgh Grounds Crew Worker Swallowed by Tarp, Players Help Get Him Out

A nasty storm is blowing through Pittsburgh and it gave the Pirates grounds crew fits. Eventually the players had to come out and help.

Mother Nature is not cooperating in Pittsburgh tonight as heavy winds and rain blow through the city, causing a delay the game against the Padres. They made it to the top of the third at PNC Park before it got biblical and things got so bad that a poor grounds crew worker was caught on the tarp as a huge gust of wind filled it and washed over him like a rogue wave.

Several players, including Andrew McCutchen, Sean Rodriguez, and Gregory Polanco ran out to help get the guy out. He eventually emerged and the players remained out there to help control the tarp and secure it in place over the infield.
