The phrase "12th man" is hackneyed and pollutes our sports lexicon. "Whoa man, the fans were so loud, it's almost like there was another player on the field." We get it. It was probably clever the first time. Now it's just something the Seahawks have branded into the drizzly Seattle ground.

Well, perhaps the phrase needs reconsideration, as one fan was literally his or her team's 12th man at Qabala's away game at Dortmund. It's unclear whether or not the fan made the 2,500-mile journey from Azerbaijan to watch the German side wallop Qabala in a Europa League match, but the dedication is clear. Here's what the fan had to witness:

After that drubbing, Qabala should feel honored that one fan showed up at all. Hopefully that person brings a friend next time, so as to at leasthave a shoulder to cry on.
