VICE Sports World News Roundup: November 25

Hot, steamy, fresh news here!
TONI ALBIR // EPA

Good morning, America. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop by daily for your morning headlines.

It's the 25th of November, 2015, and Sepp Blatter is still, technically, president of FIFA.

The Champions League group stage picked back up yesterday with no real surprises. Barcelona put on a clinic against Roma to win 6-1, Bayern Munich took care of Olympiacos 4-0, Chelsea similarly dispatched of Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Arsenal kept their Round of 16 hopes alive by thrashing Dinamo Zagreb 3-0. With one match to play for Groups E-H, only Barcelona, Bayern, and Zenit are through. Everything else is complicated.

Let's go back to Barcelona for a second. Their performance yesterday against Roma—a pretty good team!—was one for the ages. The video below shows the build-up to one of Messi's goals in 2x speed. Watch the way Barca builds up to the goal, then just makes it happen like lightning. They're slashing through Europe right now. Nobody's close.

Elsewhere in world domination, the Golden State Warriors became the first team to start a season 16-0. Their latest win came against the Lakers, and Kobe said after the game, "I could have scored 80 tonight, it wouldn't have made a damn difference."

Rumors are floating around that PSG wants to offer Ronaldo 18 million Euros a season to play for them. This would put Ronaldo on par with Alfonso Soriano circa 2008 in terms of salary.

Dinamo Kiev will have their stadium closed for three games due to racist behavior and blocking stairways. The latter of which may sound trivial but, given security concerns at the moment, is no laughing matter.

The AP is reporting that suspended St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey is in critical condition after being shot last night. The Rams have acknowledged an incident took place but declined to provide the AP with more details.

Arsene Wenger, King of Man, says he'd love to rest Alexis Sanchez, but "resting just makes Sanchez tired." On that note, today's photo of the day comes not from a wire service, but from Arsenal's Twitter feed. Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are sporting their most festive winter/holiday/Christmas sweaters. Please do take time to note that Alexis is wearing his training shorts with the sweater, suggesting this photo was taken during a very brief break in training, because he is always training.
