Sparkling One-Handed Grab Highlights Arizona State's Manhandling Of Notre Dame

Arizona State capitalizes on Notre Dame's careless ball security and Jaelen Strong makes beautiful one-handed grab.

Everett Golson has been a turnover machine for Notre Dame of late, and he's at it again against Arizona State.  His second fumble in this still-young game came while he was scrambling to avoid pressure and set up the Sun Devils with excellent field position. On the first play after recovering the fumble, Taylor Kelly rolled out and threw a high pass to Jaelen Strong, who snared it with one hand as he spun in the end zone. The play was reviewed, but he obviously got not just one, but both feet in bounds to give ASU a 10-3 lead.

Things would get worse for the Irish because on first play of the ensuing possession, Golson turned the ball over again. This one, an interception, wasn't entirely his fault, though. Demetrius Cherry made a great play to tip the ball at the line and Marcus Hardison caught it, once again giving the Devils an incredibly short field to work with. It took three plays this time, but Arizona State was back in the end zone for a 17-3 lead as the first quarter ended.

Things would get worse still, at the start of the second quarter. Golson was intercepted again, and this time Damarious Randall just took it all the way himself for a 59-yard touchdown return and 24-3 lead.

Arizona State scored 24 points in just over four minutes.
