Eugenie Bouchard slipped and fell in the locker room following her win over Dominika Cibulkova on Friday night at the U.S. Open, sustaining a head injury in the process. She withdrew from the women's and mixed doubles competition shortly afterwards, but she has not yet withdrawn from the singles competition. This is video of her arriving at the stadium today before her match later this evening against Roberta Vinci, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark sunglasses. She seems uncertain on her feet and needed to be herded in the right direction. Bouchard is going to be assessed by the same medical team that has been working with her since Friday. If that team somehow clears her to play after showing up looking like this, hopefully she or someone in her camp pulls the plug on her run because she does not look good.Update: Eugenie Bouchard has officially withdrawn from the tournament and Roberta Vinci advances to the quarterfinals.
[ESPN]Eugenie Bouchard has now officially withdrawn from the #USOpen due to a concussion.
