Rudy Gay Threw DeMar DeRozan's Shoe into the Stands and Hit a Fan in the Face

DeRozan has been so hot this season, Gay's strategy to defend him may be the smartest one we've seen yet.

A fan in Sacramento earned himself a unique souvenir from Sunday's game between the Kings and Raptors—a DeMar DeRozan shoe print to the face.

There was lots of controversy and drama surrounding the game, including a buzzer-beating triple by Terrence Ross that appeared to tie the contest and force overtime, but was called back after a review of the clock, resulting in a 102-99 Kings victory.

Through all that, shoegate flew under the radar, but it shouldn't have. The accurate and powerful backhand toss by Gay was incredible, and was matched only by the grace and humility in which said fan's nose received the sneaker.
