Peyton's Old Practice Squad Wideout "Sunshine" Snags Clean One-Handed Catch at Broncos Camp

Sunshine's ain't the greatest catch we've ever seen. But there's certainly something to it.

The defending Super Bowl champions, the Denver Broncos, opened training camp yesterday without Peyton Manning, but his buddy Jordan "Sunshine" Taylor is there and man did he ever, well, shine.

Nicknamed after the golden-locked "fruitcake" of Remember the Titans fame, the 6'5" 210 lb. wide receiver out of Rice spent last season on the practice squad as Peyton's personal wideout, helping Manning work his way back from the torn plantar fascia in his left foot.

Manning credited Jordan at the Super Bowl for helping him recover, praising Sunshine for showing up early to work out before he went to practice. (Manning even bought him a suit!) Titans coach Denzel Washington would be so proud.

This afternoon, Jordan took a big sideline step towards an NFL career of his own, at least if 'incredible athleticism during a lazy low-key, no-tackle practice' counts. Broncos fan @Supahfly328—Respek His Name—caught Taylor's outlandish one-handed grab from quarterback Mark 'yes, I am still on a franchise if not quite the Sanchize' Sanchez. The snare brought cheers from the small assembly, chest bumps from his teammates, and a smooth "Oh Wowwwwwwwww" presumably from Supahfly328.

Sunshine did that thing, and seems to bode well for his chances. The grab has already drawn comparisons to….
