Jason Pierre-Paul Posts Workout Video Showing Bandaged Hand

Jason Pierre-Paul lifts veil on mysterious missing fingers, still leaves plenty of questions unanswered.

Jason Pierre-Paul has had a weird offseason. After blowing off parts of his hand during a July 4th fireworks celebration it's been unclear when, if ever, he would return to the field. He and the New York Giants barely spoke during the offseason. They finally got together on the eve of the season, but the Giants deemed Pierre-Paul wasn't yet ready to play so they sent him back home to Florida. It looked like a return in October might be possible, but then news emerged yesterday that his injuries were worse than previously reported. Adam Schefter—absolutely owning the missing fingers beat—reported that Pierre-Paul had another procedure prior to meeting with the Giants on Labor Day to "close up" his right middle finger and that he was also missing a portion of his right thumb.

These new finger maladies, in addition to having his entire index finger amputated, has led to speculation that he might not be as ready to go as previously hoped. And…voila! He posted a video to his Instagram—the only upload to the account. It shows Pierre-Paul, clad in Giants red and blue, dragging a 270 pound sled. You can see his bandaged right hand in the video but not much else. He's certainly keeping in shape, but he's using his non-mangled hand as his down hand and not dealing with any opponents who might mess with his right hand.

The caption read: "God can turn any situation around for the better. Your hard times will lead to the best times of your life. Don't believe the hype … Be back soon! #90PC #ImAFighter #PutMeInCoach."

You know things are getting desperate when you're quoting non-Creedence John Fogerty.
