It's the 14th of July, 2015, and Sepp Blatter is still president of FIFA. He was recently invited to appear before the U.S. Senate to discuss the FIFA scandal but, in a move that shocked no one, Blatter declined the invitation. The Exco will meet in Zurich on Monday and Blatter will make some kind of announcement. Stay tuned.

Swindon Town Football Club, which plays in the third tier of English soccer, has banned all press. The club signed a deal with an app called Fanzai, which will be the only source of news for the club. What a world.

Two Indian Premier League cricket teams have been suspended for 2 years. The Chennai Super Kings and The Rajasthan Royals were involved in match fixing.

If you're feeling down about the U.S. Men's national teams terrible (if adequate) recent performances in the *Gold Cup,* take a minute and remember the glory days of yore.

The 2015 International University Sports Federation Universiade has come to a close. Host nation South Korea won the event with 47 gold medals and a total medal count of 108. The US finished 5th with 20 gold medals and a total count of 53.
