Someone Stole Tom Brady's Super Bowl Jersey

Tom Brady's Super Bowl playing jersey went missing almost immediately after the game.

In the afterglow of the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history, someone apparently snagged Tom Brady's playing jersey from his locker. Reporters caught the exact moment Brady realized it was gone as he dug around in his bag for the memento. Brady insisted that he "absolutely, 100 percent put it in my bag," but the equipment managers and security in the locker room had no answers for him. At one point it sounded like they were going to shut downthe locker room and search it, but the damage had been done.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft found out the way one always finds out bad news: while handing out celebratory cigars to half-nude men in his employ. Kraft approaches his quarterback, the two embrace, and then Brady tells him "someone stole my game jersey." Kraft's response is obvious: "You better look online." Brady had quipped earlier about checking eBay, but seems resigned to the fact that it's gone. When he boarded the team bus, the jersey was still missing.

If only they had some reliable equipment guys in New England.

Update: noting that "In Texas, we place a very high value on hospitality and football," lieutenant governor Dan Patrick has asked for the Texas Rangers to investigate Brady's stolen jersey.
