Pakistanis Destroy TVs After Loss to India in Cricket World Cup

India defeated Pakistan in the Cricket World Cup over the weekend and aggrieved Pakistanis did the only thing one does after a loss: they destroyed their televisions.

Well, it is settled. The universal human reaction to a crushing defeat is to find any electronic device you can and destroy it by any means necessary. If you have to hurl yourself through it, so be it. If you have to use the very tools instrumental in your own frustration and loss, all the better.

India defeated Pakistan by 76 runs in the Cricket World Cup over the weekend and these folks did not take the loss well. It is satisfying, in a way; there is great cathartis in inflicting physical damage to helpless objects. Mostly because more often than not we are the helpless objects and our favorite teams are the bats. It's good to get a win.

We don't want to highlight only anger and dismay, though. India won, after all, and millions were delighted with the result. Maybe they destroyed stuff out of joy, West Virginian couches know the drill, but they also hooted and hollered with friends. Like our own Smriti Sinha, who apparently lives in a baroque palace with chandeliers and shit.
