The Thai government has lifted a ban on "joyful activities," including chanting, cheering, banners and flags at the country's upcoming World Cup Qualifier with the Socceroos on November 15.The ban was put in place as part of a 30-day period of mourning following the death of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej in mid-October. The edict also requested supporters "be in polite manner with suggested colours such as white, black, grey and preferably no designs on them."The Thai government announced yesterday the ban would be lifted."It's going to be a great match," Thailand's Minister of Tourism and Sports Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul said."You can cheer, you can do everything according to what you would like to do."The dress code [of black] is recommended but not required."The Socceroos go into the game second in their qualifying group behind Saudi Arabia and ahead of Japan (Thailand is last). They will do so without veteran star striker, Tim Cahill, who is being rested to allow a full recovery from an achilles complaint. His replacement is Brisbane Roar striker Jamie Mclaren."(Cahill) has done a lot of travel for club and country, and I have decided it is better he remains in Melbourne where he is being managed well to ensure he is back on the park as soon as possible and ready for us down the track," said Socceroos coach, Ange Postecoglou.
